Isn't it best to celebrate something with a delicious dessert? Well, over 100 students, teachers and invited guests had a chance to indulge and forget about dieting eating an enormous cake, cookies, sweets and strawberries on the 22nd of June during a triple ceremony in Elbląg, Poland. Fine Arts High School in Gronowo Górne celebrated the end of the school year, the students had their exhibition of works and we marked the end of the 3-year project Career In Art.
The project coordinator Joanna Jastrzebska gave a speech on the project results and achievements during the three years. She mentioned the value of International Project Meetings as well as Short-term activities for students, when students had a chance to visit partnership schools and take part in fantastic workshops. They learnt new art techniques, mastered their English and languages, improved their knowledge of the heritage and art history of the partner schools. Apart from that, no one can deny the European Value of the project- opening up for new cultures, customs, religions and becoming more tolerant.
The over 10-kilogram cake was served during the vernissage and it was muchly appreciated. It was decorated with Career In Art logo and was really eye-catching. During consumption the participants of the project gathered together and exchanged opinions on the project. We recalled mobilities to other countries, laughed at funny stories and regretted we would not be able to meet our international friends again. We all finally stated we wished the project could still go on. Impossible, but let's hope our friendships, knowledge and experiences from the project will always stay in our hearts.
