European skills passport
Nowadays it is crucial for a young person to master the art of self-promotion whenever applying for job posts, looking for business opportunities or entering universities. Because of that Career in Art partners decided to equip our students with skills necessary to be good at promoting themselves.
Respective schools worked on the Europass platform to teach youngsters how to write CVs, letters of application and European skills passports. During English classes as part of our curricula, students learned about the register, rules and phrases needed to compose a well-written and relevant presentation of themselves.
In so doing, students improved their linguistic skills, writing skills, ICT skills, entrepreneurial skills and, finally, got to know a very useful platform for self-promotion; i.e. Europass.
Entrepreneurial skills:
- Students are able to write about their life achievements in an official and well-organised form
- Students are able to evaluate their knowledge of English and other foreign languages
- Students can use their CVs and passports when looking for work or have to present a decent portfolio at admission exams
- Students have an overview of their skills, education and achievements all in one place
- Students are able to use CVs and passports when accessing the art market
Other skills:
- ICT skills
- Language skills
- Organizational skills
At the end of this activity we chose the best examples of CVs, letters of application and language passports to be posted on the website. Here are the results.
