Slovenia did their last mobility to Belgium to substitute for Turkey. In April 2017, therefore, 4 teachers and 4 students flew to Brussels to do the cultural part of their last mobility.
The four Slovenian students partook of the workshops organized in Ljubljana with the rest of the partner schools. However, they did the study trips for the cultural part in Belgium. In other words, they had acquired new quality knowledge in the field of art and business while attending workshops in Ljubljana, and later they learned about Belgian culture, national heritage and values while on mobility to Brussels, Gent and Antwerp.
The Belgian school helped us organize the study trips by offering us an art teacher as guide and mentor. The Slovenian team thus visited cathedrals, museums, galleries and open-air art scenes from which students and accompanying teachers could get inspired, motivated and learn about art across Europe.
With this last mobility the learning activities of Career in Art came to an end. All in all, around 120 students from each partner school could benefit from learning activities at which they were active in experimenting with new art techniques, improving their knowledge of English, acquiring ICT skills and job-related skills, such as team work, adaptability, innovation and entrepreneurship. And what is more, we believe that students became more motivated for work at school, have the motivation to continue their studies in the field of art, have made friends whom they can visit and share ideas with and have gained an international dimension to their learning and understanding of the world.
