During the short-term exchange to Romania, students visited the picturesque town of Horezu, part of the UNESCO World Heritage. There, they admired ladies modelling clay on the wheel and decorating plates with traditional patterns and motifs.
Students thus learned first hand about the traditional art of pottery and learned how to work with clay and to decorate plates on their own. The craft of making Horezu pottery is far from easy, but some of the students were very good at it. The plates they have decorated were left to dry and will be brought to students to their next exchange to Belgium.
