In the months of April and June 2015, all schools organized an Open Day//Europe Day, which promoted our project Career in Art and the programme Erasmus+ to a wider public. On the occasion, students and teachers were involved in several workshops and presentations, with the objective to foster knowledge in various fields of artistic creation and to share the multicultural experience of students active in the exchanges.
Poland
The celebrations of the European day started with a roll call meeting in the school hall prepared by Natalia Bartosiak, who gave the other participants basic information about Europe and the European Union- its beginning, policy and way of working. This information was completed by our Economics and Busines Studies teacher Barbara Koniecko, who mentioned financial aspects. Later we had a powerpoint slide show presentation prepared by Łucja Żukowska and Dorota Paczkowska. They informed the gathered students and teachers about geography of the Union, flag and participant countries.
After that 15 students took part in a knowledge test about the European Union. It consisted of 40 questions and the winner was Tomasz Jastrząb receiving 29 points. He was awarded with a certificate of achievement and a small award.
In the meantime students took plenty of photos, some of them very funny, and a bit of face painting. They all were in a way connected with the European Union – like photos with the flags.
At the end of those 3-hour celebrations the students marched through the streets of Gronowo Górne with flags. During this happening they informed the passers-by about the Career in Art project, our school and the sponsorship of the European Union.
Romania
Our celebration began with some generalizations about May 9, Europe Day, and it gave our students the opportunity to learn some new things.
We have talked about tolerance and intolerance, and our students have showed a great interest to engage in these debates. We all agreed that we should be more tolerant, open to new ideas, new religions and new cultures.
Ninth grade students gave us a presentation of the partner countries involved in our Erasmus+ project and later the objectives of this partnership and also the results we have obtained so far.

We decorated the festival-area with flags of all countries and used the mood boards from the open day to inform every student in our school. So we gathered a lot of volunteers for the next meetings.
